kenya who ate $ 71 Million corona ‘cried

Kenya's prime minister, Noordin Haji, has ordered a $ 71 million investigation into what he says is an "unusual purchase" by the Medical Equipment Distribution Authority, KEMSA, linked to the Covid virus epidemic.

Hospital staff in the country, who are facing a difficult situation in their work, have staged strikes against corruption in the commission, which buys and distributes medicines and medical equipment for public hospitals in the country.

Three weeks ago, President Uhuru Kenyatta called on the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to review contracts awarded to celebrities, and others, without knowing the rules of public procurement.

His report was presented on Friday to the prosecutor, who concluded that there were "extraordinary purchases and fraudulent payments" amounting to $ 71 million.
