The Morogoro Region Fire and Rescue Service has successfully controlled fuel fires due to a vehicle with registration number T862 BZS and trailer number T814 DBZ catching fire in Kiegea area, Kilosa District.

The vehicle, owned by DON FUEL, which was loading large shipments of diesel fuel, was en route to Burundi from Dar es Salaam with a driver who identified himself as Hamidu Issa, a Burundian citizen.

According to the Morogoro Regional Fire and Rescue Commander, Senior Assistant Fire Brigade (SACF), Goodluck Zelote said there were no human casualties and the source of the fire was not immediately known but it is believed to be an error in the vehicle's electrical system.
